Folbot seat in Single2000/E68

A modification tip:

I so much hated the back rest on my Single 2000. Not so much for bad comfort, but more for the impossibility to reach stuff behind it. I tried many variants of reconstructions... but none worked good.

Instead I replaced the whole seat (and back rest). I purchased a Folbot Kiwah flatable seat and did some rather simple modifications. In my opinion it gives the vessel a very nice and comfortable seat position.

I can give instruction if anyone are interested in my modification.

I would like very much to see that installation. The Nautiraid Greenlander inflatable seat-bottom and hip pads made the E68 bearable for a long day's paddling, but that stock seatback is horrible. And yeah, it is a real hassle to get things out of the stern with that seatback.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi!

This is my modification of the Folbot Kiwah seat.

For me (173 cm with rather long legs) it works perfectly, but perhaps not if you are tall... In my version the seat is not movable.

The shiny aluminum bar is folbot original and it fits perfectly under the rim.
