Re: Pionier 450 S Assembly Instructions
Yes please. I have a Pionier 520Z so if That one is available I would love to have a copy. The 450 assembly should be similar. I hope. other wise I am kind of stuck.
Thanks, George Lathrop

Re: Pionier 450 S Assembly Instructions
Hello Chris,
Well I lucked into an old Pionier 520Z with a sail set for a song. Well, it is missing a few things, most notably the hull and all the wing-nuts and a few ferrules, but I'm working on that! Other than that it look sin unused condition - the sail for sure have never been flown.
I put it together without instructions, but would really like to see the instructions that came with your 450. I tried the link on your original post, but although things churn away, cannot see the file on my laptop. Was wondering if you would be so kind as to send the pdf to me directly?
BTW, I have a few pictures of this kayak on Flickr.

Re: Pionier 450 S Assembly Instructions
Link for the instructions seems to work fine now. Chalk the previous problem up to user error on my part. Would like to talk to you some time regarding assembly of Pioniers as I have a few questions.

Barry, that's a really neat looking boat. Love the sail rig(s).
Pretty nice sewing machine too!

Re: Pionier 450 S Assembly Instructions
Thanks! I bought that Pfaff a few years ago to work on the boats ... nice machine and built like a tank. Now I have access to an old "industrial" Pfaff that my Father used in his orthopedic shop years ago (wish I had one of the big sewing machines he had ... Singers IIRC).
Any rate, I'm still searching for a supplier for a replacement skin and then I'll be off to Lake Erie to try to sail that beast. 6.3 m^2 of sail on a boat without sponsons ... think I'll need amas ...
Here is a link to photos of old Pioniers. Scroll down to the bottom to see some pix of 520-Zs under sail with jib, mainsail and a mizzen - a proper little yacht!

Re: Pionier 450 S Assembly Instructions
I am glad you were able to make use of the instructions I posted back in 2009. Much longer ago than I'd thought.
Barry, those are beautiful kayaks. Man, I love that orange deck - not because I'm a UT fan, but because that's a great color.
