I have a FC Klatwa that I use with my Kahuna and I was wondering if there are any type of drip rings or other solutions to avoiding water getting into the kayak. It's been too hot this summer to paddle with the spray skirt.
I thought at one time I had heard of a method of tying string to form a type of drip ring?

You might try cutting ordinary rubber drip rings, wrapping them around the paddle shaft and then gluing them in place. I once saw a one-piece paddle with light line wrapped around the shaft in decorative braiding called a Turks head knot. Don't know how effective it was but it looked very attractive.

Rubber tourniquets, the ones used in clinics and hospitals for blood draws and IV starts. Easy to wrap around, can also use stethoscope tubing, small diameter rubber hose ..
