I'm thinking of buying a used Folbot. I've owned several hardshell kayaks, but never a folder. Any tips on what to look out for when buying a used Folbot? Thanks.

Check the tubes for kinks and corrosion. If it's an older one, with plastic ribs, check them for cracks and broken tabs. Check over the inside and outside of the hull for scrapes and cuts that expose the inner fabric. Look for loose rivets, and repairs improperly done.

Thanks. Only kayak I've ever seen w/o a serial number. Or is it stamped somewhere on the skeleton?

No serial number. You might consider upgrading the coaming and possibly the ribs at some point- it really stiffens up the frame. But the boat is certainly very good as it is.
