Hi all

I have a very old Klepper Double. The hull is Grey rubber over linen and the sails are cotton. My father purchased the boat from an army officer stationed in Germany I believein the 1950's or 60's. From pictures online the frame looks like a t-6. Any hints on how to verify this? The frame force fits into the skin, but there are two rubberized canvas blow up sponsons glued to the outside of the hull. Is it possible to get a new skin for these boats?

Thanks, John

Welcome John. Here is a good place to start with the identification of your kayak:

Depending on which one you have you may be able to source a skin from LongHaul (long shot, though) or you may need to go to Mark Heise, who has a great reputation for quality work. Avoid Wayland, they are reported to have many product and service issues.
Pics would help.
