Hello all;
I've just purchased an old Klepper AeriusII possibly 30+ yrs old.
I've lurked here off and on for a few years. Always good info to be had. I wasn't going to pull the trigger on a folding boat just yet but two used options came up we went for the Klepper.
I'm from an open boat background having grown up in Manitoba,now living in the shadow of the Canadian Rockies.
I own three canoes and now this Klepper and I'm still married. :D
We hope to do some lake trips up North (YT , NWT),and on the West Coast.

Nice to see you in the introductions no doubt you,v seen my comments in the klepper section, I hope they help. I see you are quite close to the klepper dealer in calgary, I have to deal by post or internet.I have two kleppers, one folbot yukon ( just recived it ) two skin on frame kayaks made from TYNE kits no longer available but plans are . I go out with my son when he,s here and we use separate boats as I like the capacity and to paddle solo. he has just arrived from kandahar but our lake is very thick in ice and although lake superior is quite close it,s too cold for me. use the klepper every year, don,t put it away damp, and it will last.I think you will like more than a canoe. john
