Hello All,

My husband Robin and myself purchased two older Aerius II (tandem) Kleepers. Had a new skin made from LongHaul. Currently in the middle of patching the other skin. Planning to use this one for a cargo boat.

Have paddled a couple hundred of miles this spring/summer. When the winds allow even some sailing and this boat is fun for that. Looking forward to the winter and the winds to shift in my favor. Generally drop in the ocean in Charleston at the Long Fleet dock near the Shipyard.

We love the folding kayak :D and are so glad we took our time and did lots of research before making a decision  . These boats were the perfect choice for us and our adventurous lifestyle. These boats are engineering marvels and we hope to learn more ideas from this site.

Of course had to read "Alone at Sea" .

Thx

Kim

Yes, Alone at Sea is pretty amazing... there are a bunch of other books out there. "Ocean Crossing Wayfarer", for instance, or Howard Rice rounding Cape Horn in a Klepper. Howard is back down in the Straits of Magellan, right now (for those who haven't been keeping up)...
