And to be honest, That was my initial impression. The skin does look pretty rough and my other boats are sleek and narrow. But the Blue Maru was a bit faster than the narrower and slightly longer composite double of ours. But, I am growing accustomed to her face. :twisted: Not being locked in is a different feel for me and the boat seems to paddle better with single blades. Get a skin from the factory in Germany... There is an idea.. Thanks!

Chuck, the good news is: shipping folding kayaks to the US is duty and tax free, i sold a Klepper Aerius single to a guy in Atlanta, he told me that and i had allready two Feathercrafts from Vancouver sent to Seattle, the same thing: free shipping from feathercraft, no duties or taxes.

You can buy a new sking for your AEII from klepper, but there are also some smaller companies, who would also make a new skin, let me check their web sites, i will post links here later,
