Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
I am a US citizen who first came to Lithuania in 1993 as a Peace Corps volunteer. I lived here for three years (a one-year extension on the usual two-year service), returned to the United States and eventually went to graduate school, married my girlfriend from Lithuania, and returned here to live and work in 2002 after I had completed my master's degree.

My first experience with folding kayaks was a college dorm mate who took me on summer trips in his family's Klepper doubles. The first time I saw the compact boat in bags turn into a sleek craft, I was hooked. And once I had settled in to living here in Vilnius, I began looking for a way to acquire one of my own. Several years ago I found my soviet era Taimen 2, and we have used it as a family in the waters of Lithuania. Just last week I ordered a Wayland Harpoon I 450 Expedition from the neighboring country Poland, and I am very excited about the plans I have for it.

That sounds very interesting.
Welcome aboard, keep us up on your adventures.
(My grandfather came from Lithuania. I never met him)
