Hello

I have 3 folding kayaks at the moment

Feathercraft K1 Expedition (paddling)
Pouch RZ85 (sailing and paddling)
Folbot Super (bought it recently, and it needs some renovation, intend to sail it)

I live in Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden and by the sea. We have a very nice archipelago here, perfect for sailing and paddling.

My favourite paddling destination has been BC Canada, where I have been paddling a couple of times, the last 2 times I brought my Feathercraft with me.

At this forum I hope to get some information/spares for my Folbot project, and share my experience of Feathercraft and Pouch.

Jonas a.k.a PaddlingSwede

Welcome! My brother lives in Gothenburg. He took us on a ferry ride out to the islands once. I'm looking forward to bringing a folder with me on a visit one of these days. Where are your favourite places to paddle?

Welcome Jonas - I have never met a Swede I did not like! Also their cars - i have owned four Volvos.

I met so many adventurous Swedes who were backpacking through Africa, when I lived in Sudan in the early 1980s - nearly married one of them! (My loss that I didn't.) Coincidentally, she was also from Gothenburg. She pronounced it something like yetoborg. Does Hasselblad still make cameras? If you ever plan a kayaking trip in Montenegro, you can count on having a base in either Kotor or Bigova.

Jack

Thank you for the nice welcome

I'm member of a canoe club here in Gothenburg, which owns an old lighthouse and some cottages out one a island called
Valö (meaning Whale Island, but it's original name was meaning something else). Thats one of my favourite destinations.

I will be back
Jonas

Thanks for the info about Valö. Hopefully, when I finally get around to booking time for a trip to Gothenburg to paddle the Archipelago I can pick your brains about more good places.
All the best,
Ian
