Self introduction

Post by DaveGiesen »

David Giesen here in San Francisco. I believe I previously belonged on the roster of members, but let matters lapse. I'm a school teacher with, as the group Bay Area Sea Kayakers puts it, "a kayaking disorder." In my case that means I live in a self-made chandlery. Twelve boats, most foldable, though three hard-shells: a Sunfish, an El Toro, and a Walker Bay 8 foot dinghy.

Folders include (in order of appearance): Klepper Classic 2, Innova Helios 2, Folbot Cooper, Folbot Master, Folbot 17 (1973), Innova Swing 2, an unnamed pointy doughnut sort of thing, Intex double, Oru Bay.

I drop keel in lakes, reservoirs, rivers, open ocean, San Francisco Bay.

I welcome water-friendly visitors to companion paddle.

Welcome. Do you sail that Walker Bay?
