yeah I can't add much to this, never having had a puncture in any of my boats. I'm pretty sure though that all Gumotexes/Innovas are designed to be paddleable in the event of sudden air loss - check out the sea tests of the new SeaWave from 2.30ish onwards https://vimeo.com/62782419

Very cool, thanks for that video Onsafari. I had not heard of or seen this new boat until now. Looks like a more rugged Swing. This also looks like the kind of boat I'd been hoping Gumotex/Innova would come out with, a decked light touring kayak. I've often thought a 13 foot Helios 1 would be an ideal boat.

yeah I agree, it's a nice looking boat. I always admired the seaker but the massive weight of it always put me off it. There's more detail about the SeaWave here http://www.nafukovacilode.cz/nafukovaci-kajak-seawave if you haven't seen it already (google translate does a reasonable job) - 15ft long and just 17.5 kg (39lbs) is pretty impressive

Sponsons only carry a few psi, so you don't get a blowout like you would with a 30-100psi tire. Gorilla Tape is pretty tenacious.
