Hello,

I recently purchased a 2008 k-lite off eBay, blind. It arrived and there are a couple issues not noted in the description - abrasions to the deck, a short scrape, and something or other at the bow. There aren't many close-ups of the bow on the internet therefore not much to compare it to assess the damage.

Is there a missing endcap? If so does anyone have Smiths email or an extra cap laying around, heh… what do folks recommend?

And re the abrasion and tear? Is this indicative of a larger issue of deck degradation (UV damage) or should they be fine with small conservation patches just to keep it in check?

Doing a survey to get it up and running for the spring (not being an experienced paddler figure its best to learn in warmer weather). Is it okay to wash these things with soap and water?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like it could use some gluing-up or possibly patching . As for washing, a mild soap and water is ideal.
