Since I've got my Folbot kiawah, I have found out that Amsterdam must be the best urban site in the world for paddling (only equalled maybe by Venice).
To proove what I'm saying I've been taking pictures and posting them into some albums on the FKO gallery. I think it's quite easy to make great pictures because Amsterdam is photogenic all over and I have only just started, I can go on for years!
So if you ever are planning to travel to Holland, you should examen my albums, take your kayak, and notice me that you're coming. I can guide you to the places you find most interesting.

Great city! Must visit again - this time by boat! I like the mothership too - do you live on it?

Well, I have been living so much on the Ponton, that I somewhat neglected the internet, which has to improve now, because now I have a mobile connection.
I also neglected my house, and I more and more think I'll have to get writ of it, because renting a house, and than not use it, is too expensive for me.
The good thing is, I don't have to disassemble the Kiawah after every usage anymore, which gives me the possibilty to go out for small hikes whenever opportunity knocks. And when I get further away, it's always easy to find some unexplored waterways, that always stun me by their beauty.

Hi Eddie,

I can't figure out how to link directly, but you can find the album like this:
Go to http://www.foldingkayaks.org/
Scroll down the menu on the left and click Photo Gallery.
Click the picture on "Album: Photos from FoldingKayak regulars"
Go to Page 2
Click the picture on "Album: Moses Santiago"

Welcome to the forum, by the way. Sorry if responses are a bit slow. Some time ago, the forum was getting hit daily by spammers. To stop this, new members' first posts sit in "limbo" until approved by the moderators. For some reason, once approved, their posts don't appear on the "View New Posts" button, which is what I normally use to check the forum. I've been discovering new members' posts by checking "unread" or "unanswered" as well. So don't give up on us - we're quite friendly, really!

Mary

very nice to know ;-) maybe i should visit my london classmates once more and see if someone offers me a folder-tour ...

for now best from berlin - here our folder-forum drowns itself in ugly "conversation" so i looked out for a better, nicer place ;-)
