How would you rate that for difficulty?

Is it easy or hard to get and stay locked in with the knees?

Do you think you could do this in 'conditions'?

It actually rolls pretty nicely. I mentioned in the past that I learned in other boats.
I have a bilge pump across my thighs and stuck under the coaming/deck. I have rolled without that feature though. Falling out is the hardest part rolling the Aleut. The conditions that would capsize an aleut would probably sink it with the first few deck washes(if it had the stock spray deck) before a capsize occurred. I would not call the roll a reliable recovery.

I just got the aleut back this summer... it's been fun to paddle it a couple times.
