Folbot Yukon

Post by john allsop »

Members might be interested in my Yukon with a 1.4 Kayaksailor sail. I have cut off the long tube sticking out from the bow. The photo was taken when I lived in Northern Ontario. Here is another photo taken at the same time showing the lee boards.

Interesting that akas and amas are aft. I presume leeboard is aft as well. The typical Balogh installation has the akas next to the mast. Does this aft arrangement work well for you?

I put the outriggers at the back because I coudn,t put them where the sail is, in fact they were not really needed. The kayaksailor lee boards are at the sail location as they are part of the assembly. I have also used a Klepper S1 sail on the Yukon and a Pacific Action sail, of course not together. I have added a second photo.
