Hi All,

I wondered how the cargo capacity was with the Kurrent 2.0 (or LW) in terms of nights you have spent out and what kind of loadout you went with (minimalistic, luxurious, etc.) for the places you paddled to.

I also wondered what kind of drybags you have and in what configuration ( have to pick those up too ).

Cheers!

I've loaded 5 days worth of supplies and water on my Kurrent. At the time I used a rear deck bag, but now with lighter weight camping stuff and more efficient packing I could pack everything inside. That said, minimalism is the key. It really helps to have hatches, and mine doesn't. When I bought the Kahuna last year I made sure to order it with hatches front and back. The rear hatch being the larger size.

Thanks for the inspiration - they can apparently put a small bow hatch on the 2.0 - i'm gonna rock that option assuming the bow placement suits me. I really liked it on my Wisper - so I figure if I can afford it why not? :D

The hatches make removing the frame much easier. My Kurrent didn't have hatches, and taking the frame out wasn't easy. I had to "peel" the skin around the two halves like I was peeling a banana. The Kahuna has both hatches and this operation is much easier.

The lightweight Kurrent can't have hatches, acc. to Feathercraft, but I don't have any problems disassembling without hatches.

The 2.0 i'm ordering is the thicker skin and regular frame. They have the medium hatch as a standard option but I'm getting a small front hatch as well. Which is nice because I really liked them on the Wisper.
