I recently purchased an older Klepper aerius II. There is apparent wear to the keel strip and I would like to repair/reinforce the strip and would appreciate suggestions. Thanks

Adding or replacing a keel strip can be a tricky/messy affair, depending on how skilled you are. I would contact Mark at Longhaul Folding Kayaks and get his advice, and you can also buy the materials from him if you decide to go that route. That said, how bad is the wear? The keel strip is there as a sacrificial layer to protect the hull itself, so many folks simply live with some wear as long as it has not penetrated to the hull. Some pics would help.

Good luck!
