I don't know if they are available for the Ute, but if so, a sea sock would help you here - they reduce the amount of flooding enormously when you can out, although they can make the cockpit rather hot in summer with a sprayskirt fitted. This would help contain water from your dripping paddle too. Using the lowest (flattest) angle you can at a fairly high cadence with a long greenland paddle will also help reduce the amount of dripping in the cockpit.
