Re: Long Haul Canoe
That looks interesting. My first thought was that there doesn't seem to be much 'floor' (keel) for kneeling on. Does one just kneel on the skin and hope not to contact any rocks/sandbanks with one's knees? Or is it designed to be used mainly sitting? Many paddlers I know prefer to kneel or to switch between sitting and kneeling. (I know one should try not to contact rocks with skin-on-frame boats, but it does happen occasionally; contacting rocks with one's knees can be downright painful.)
Thinking about it, on the Ally the floor is a large pad of closed cell foam, which sits between knees and skin and gives one a little protection against impacts. Perhaps that is what they've done here.
Thanks for the images.

Re: Long Haul Canoe
I keep coming back to look at these pics. I wish there were more. I like the look of this canoe - it looks to be strong as a tank. All the closed-in ribs in the center surprise me a bit. I guess I expected a more 'open' hull like a traditional canoe. That second shot with Mark is so perfect... looks like a film still from Hollywood. Would love to see this boat in real life.
Will Long Haul be attending any boat shows this year?

Re: Long Haul Canoe
Came back to drool over the LH canoe pics again. Man, that is one fine looking boat.
Anyone know if there have been any further developments with it?
Cheers
