New Mark II Stretch Ordered

In Sept, the Bride and I took the opportunity to visit Long Haul in Cedaredge, CO. It was a two fold trip, first to look at the Long Haul boats, and second to pay respects at the grave of one of my closest friends in the Marine Corps. He was killed in 1969 when his helicopter was shot down. It’s hard to believe that was 50 years ago.

A sincere thank you to Mark and Kim Eckhart for allowing us to spend the night in our truck camper, then get to meet the Long Haul team and see the boats in person. Needless to say, we were blown away by the quality of their boats. Our current folder is a Folboat G2, and the Mark II is so superior.

Our order and deposit hit the mail last Saturday, and now the wait begins.

The new Mark II shipped today. From the build photos, it is a stunningly beautiful boat. Should be here next Monday.

Part of the delivery arrived 2 days early. The skin was delivered yesterday, and I expect the box with ribs and keel tomorrow. I’m looking forward to an early Christmas.

Finally had some time and a dry day to assemble the new boat. It’s impressive.

A very good boat, and those seats look like they will provide comfort for hours. I,m sure you will start sailing even though you have to register, you know it,s worth it. Putting a number on the hull won,t be a problem. Please post photos.
