Spotted at the Paris Boat Show, the two new Narak 460 : the blue one has stabilairs, the grey one is without (white one is Narak 550).
5 already sold said Nautiraid, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Germany, 1 in England, the 5 next are for France.

It sure is nice to see continued investment and innovation in "old school" (ash frame) kayaks. The Narak looks like a sweet launch, really nice lines. If I go for another single I would have to go Narak. But, someone please stop me, I don't "need" any more boats!

From the looks of it, the cockpit for the 460 is almost as big as the longer Narak. That's bad news for people looking for a smaller boat, presumably they're smaller paddlers who have a difficult time getting a good fit in the longer Narak.

Not unexpected though, I believe the minimum cockpit size is related to the wooden frame insertion and assembly method... if only they have a smaller cockpit for a better fit....

Actually, the cockpit rim is different than the Narak 550. It is more keyhole shaped, larger at the back but narrower in front than the pure oval Narak 550 rim. I saw it at the London Boat Show last week-end.
