Narak to Moorea

Post by Fatfrog »

One more for the photo contest !
Here is the black Narak in Moorea Lagoon close to Tahiti paddling with little sharks and "raies" (big flat fish I don't know their names in English). Celine is pleased to paddle after a 25 hours trip in plane from France.

Nice shot of the stingrays in the first photo, with forbidding looking waves breaking over the barrier reef behind. Are those shark fins and someone in the water with them in the background in the second photo?!
I was also wondering how hot it gets inside a black-decked kayak in the tropical heat.

Yes, there were some little sharks but they are thankfully harmless for humans.
The black deck certainly gets the temperature hotter in the boat but it is less dazzling than the white under the sun.
Black is good for Greenland, though...
