Have you contacted the Klepper Museum in Rosenheim? They are on Facebook.

You can contact the Kleppermuseum, but nothing useful will come of it. There will probably come as an answer - as so often - that in the 1990s, all documents are burned ... and therefore unfortunately no help is possible.

Thanks ReinerM, judging from what I've seen so far, Klepper has not been very careful with their visual identity. In that folder we have "AERIUS 20" in Helvetica but not bold and the Klepper logotype looks different than the one on the glue-can that I have and the ones on the kayaks that I have.

Inside the deck, but only along the left side, there are four plastic rings. Does anyone know what they are for?

Thanks ReinerM, cute and very much in line with the spirit of the time. I'm going for a custom equivalent.

Sehr schick! Is that a Burberry pouch in your collection? Don't let my wife see that :)

It's only an impression from a recent exhibition about the history of the folding boat:
More pictures from different exhibitions (current and former) here:

Thank you Rainer. Wonderful post. I love a culture that travels in a suit and tie, but kayaks topless. I say bring back the young German women kayaking topless movement!

I've started working on the Klepper Aerius 20.

The Aerius I got to taste salt water. There are a few more things to fix but more maintenance than repairs.

I know, I should have tucked that in but the fabric is really stiff.
